
Exploratory Bicycle — Hanoi - Ha Giang - Sapa (8 days)

DAY 1 — Hanoi - Ha Giang
This morning it is an early start to sort out bikes (if not done night before) as you drive up to Viet Quang, have lunch then start an easy 60km cycle up to Ha Giang. Arrival into Ha Giang, check into hotel.
Guide will arrange permission papers.
Level of ride: Easy
DAY 2 — Ha Giang - Yen Minh
After breakfast start your cycle by riding up to the top of Heaven’s Gate. From there it is steep drop followed by more hills. 30km’s from Yen Minh get on the bus for a short drive.
Level of ride: Very Difficult
DAY 3 — Yen Minh - Dong Van
After breakfast start your journey into some of the most dramatic scenery you ever will see with the knowledge that few people travel to this region.
Sweeping passes with dramatic valley’s make for plenty of photo opportunities’. Arriving in Dong Van you will check into a basic guest house.
Level of ride: Very Difficult
DAY 4 — Dong Van - Ha Giang
After breakfast its back on the road taking time to stop & visit the former H’Mong’s Palace & hear the fascinating history of this drug lord’s rule and influence. Lunch in Yen Minh, then cycle on to where you got on the bus coming into Yen Minh. Drive to Ha Giang before checking in for the night.
Level of ride: Very Difficult
DAY 5 — Ha Giang - Hoang Su Phi
After break-fast cycle from Ha Giang to Hoang Su Phi. Relax in the country surrounds and maybe take in a spa and massage.
Level of ride: Easy
DAY 6 — Hoang Su Phi - Bac Ha
After breakfast we get on the bus and drive to Xin Man. From there you take a dirt track by jeep into Bac Ha.
Level of ride: No riding today
DAY 7 — Bac Ha - Sapa
Last day of riding today, starting with the big down hill from Bac Ha. Time allowing will try to cycle all the way including the big uphill to Sapa.Tonight big celebration.
Level of ride: Difficult
DAY 8 — Sapa - Hanoi
Free morning Sapa
Afternoon take transfer to Lao Cai.
Overnight train back to Hanoi.
Can depart anytime when minimum of 5 is reached.
