  • DAY 02

    Explore The History of Hanoi

The fascinating city of Hanoi has a wonderfully colourful history and is one of the most densely populated cities in South East Asia. Incredibly, people have been inhabiting Hanoi since as early as 3000 BC. Her ancient history of the old quarter with its tiny streets blend well with the wide tree lined boulevards of the French Quarter. This creates a city of enormous personality. Stimulating, hectic and noisy and at the same time romantic, quirky and diverse. Spend the day visiting the Central Citadel, Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, The fabulous Museum of Ethnology and enjoy a relaxing tour of the Old Quarter by Cyclo.

  • DAY 03

    Kayak in halong Bay

A 4 hour drive through rural areas and small villages to Ha Long Bay. Legend has it that a dragon was sent to defend the Vietnamese against foreign invaders, leaving behind the 1,969 rocky outcrops that make this amazing national park. A truly stunning part of the world with majestic limestone karsts looming out of the serene water. Spend the day on a floating village tour, kayak across the calm waters and explore hidden little caves.

  • DAY 04

    Rest in Hanoi

Leave behind beautiful Halong and head back to your hotel in Hanoi for a relaxing evening before your morning flight to Central Vietnam.

  • DAY 05

    Explore Ancient Hoi An

After a quick flight to Da Nang International we stop by the beautiful Cham History museum where your local guide will introduce you the ancient Cham people. After a light lunch we travel 45 minutes to Ancient Hoi An. Hoi An is a charming World Heritage village which was a busy trading port during the 15th to 19th centuries. During this period the Chinese, Japanese, Dutch and Indians settled here. Its exceptionally well-preserved streets reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site. Hoi An's ancient history dates back to the 1st century when it was the largest harbour in South East Asia and was known as Lâm Ấp Phố (Champa City).

  • DAY 06

Visit the temples of My Son

The ancient ruins of My Son are 50km from Hoi An. The temples of My Son were the most important temples of the Kingdom of Champa. Influenced by Hinduism, the Cham people ruled central Vietnam from 200AD to 1700AD and built the My Son temples in the 4th century, occupying them to the 13th century.

  • DAY 07

    Arrive in Metropolitan Saigon

The rapidly modernising city of Ho Chi Minh City is only 300 years old compared to the 1,000 year old capital of Hanoi. The differences between the two are dramatic and extend to the cuisine and culture. Spend half a day taking in the local history on a guided city tour. Explore the War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, Notre Dam Cathedral and the Central Post Office.

  • DAY 08

    Visit the Mighty Mekong

The lush area of the Mekong Delta offers timeless scenes of farming and the traditional lifestyles of the countryside people. These industrious southern Vietnamese set up cottage industries in which entire families work and support each other. A day tour to the Mekong Delta is a full and varied day with boat tours, visits to cottage industries, local specialties for lunch and delicious tropical fruits.

  • DAY 09

Peek inside the Cu Chi Tunnels

A morning 1.5hr drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels before taking an afternoon flight to Siem Reap. The Cu Chi Tunnel tour leaves a lasting impression of how desperately determined the Viet Cong were to win the war and achieve independence. Construction of the vast tunnel network commenced during the French occupation in the 1950s and became an important tactical advantage for the VC in the 1960s.

  • DAY 10

Visit the magnificent Angkor Wat in Cambodia

Siem Reap means 'Flat Defeat of Siam' and refers to the centuries-old conflict between the Siamese and Khmer peoples. Siem Reap is the gateway to the world famous heritage site of the Angkor temples. Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Stretching over approximately 400 km2, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century, including the world's largest religious monument, Angkor Wat.

  • DAY 11

Spend another full day exploring the ancient temples of Siem Reap

Spend a second day exploring the ancient temples of Siem Reap.

  • DAY 12

Spend a day on Tonle Sap

Tonle Sap is the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and is home to ethnic Vietnamese and Cham people living in floating villages.
