  • DAY 01

    City tour in Yangon

    Arrival day with free time to explore this former British colony which today has the highest number of colonial buildings in Southeast Asia. In the evening visit to Karaweik Hall Royal Barge and the striking Shwedagon Pagoda to witness the golden dome light up at sunset.

  • DAY 02

    Explore local culture in Mandalay

    After a morning flight a full afternoon of sightseeing in Mandalay, the cultural heart of Myanmar. Visit local artisan workshops, spiritual pagodas and the Mandalay Palace with sunset from the Mandalay Hill.

  • DAY 03

    Cruise along the Irrawaddy River

    Take a boat trip on the Irrawaddy River to the village of Mingun on the west bank to see the renowned ringing Mingun Bell and Myatheintan Pagoda.

  • DAY 04

    A day of temple hopping in Mandalay

    A morning drive to Amarapura to visit the Mahagandayon Monastery where hundreds of novice monks study Buddha's teachings. Continue to Sagaing Hill, the living centre of Buddhist faith in Myanmar with hillsides dotted with many pagodas and monasteries.

  • DAY 05

    Explore river life in Bagan

    A relaxing day on the river with a cruise trip to Bagan on the Irrawaddy River to see the peaceful village life of the people on the river banks.

  • DAY 06

    Temple hopping in Bagan

    A full day exploring some of Bagan’s 300 splendid red brick temples and pagodas and visiting the traditional lacquerware workshops to which this town is so renowned.

  • DAY 07

    Relax on Mt Popa

    Travel by road to the mountain resort town of Kalaw in the Southern Shan State, enjoying the views from Mt Popa along the way. Relax in the cool air and calm atmosphere of Kalaw with its leafy streets and mountainous landscape.

  • DAY 08

    Say hello to the Intha on Inle Lake

    A picturesque drive to Pindaya, a quiet town perched on the banks of the peaceful Pone Ta Lote Lake. Visit the fascinating Pindaya caves and the paper making and umbrella making workshops before continuing on to Inle Lake, home of the Intha people.

  • DAY 09

    Get close to local life on Inle Lake

    A full day of exploring the lake by boat to see the many stilt house villages and markets hosted by a range of different tribes. See the unique one-legged paddling technique of the local people and soak in the peaceful atmosphere.

  • DAY 10

    Unwind in Colonial Yangon

    Flight to Yangon and transfer to your hotel.

  • DAY 11

    Departure Day

    It's time to say goodbye to your Yangon adventure. A private car will transport you to the airport.
