A 6 day tour of Southern Vietnam telling the story of the Vietnam War. Visit the museums and tourist attractions in Saigon before heading to Vung Tau for moving and inspiring battlefield tours. Explore the old areas of operation and military bases and enjoy the local hospitality before returning to Saigon.

  • DAY 01

Arrival day and transfer to your hotel. Free time to explore the city.

  • DAY 02

Spend the morning touring the city's places of interest, in particular the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace. After lunch you will take a tour of the fascinating Cu Chi Tunnels.

  • DAY 03

    Vung Tau

This morning we depart HCMC by car for the 2 hour journey to Vung Tau where upon arrival we tour the city, including a visit to the White Palace and the area known as "The Flags". After lunch there will be plenty of free time for you to explore Vung Tau at your leisure.

  • DAY 04

    Vung Tau

Today's tour visits Baria, Dat Do, Long Hais and the former Minh Dam Secret Zone. With lunch included you will return to Vung Tau in the afternoon.

  • DAY 05

    Vung Tau

You head to Nui Dat, past the pillars of the front gate, all that is left, and on to Luscombe Field, which is now a main street of a village, the Luscombe Bowl. You will see what remains of the Horseshoe and have free time to explore the former Task Force Base. After lunch we visit Long Tan and the Long Tan Cross. As time passes, the memorial services conducted at Long Tan to commemorate the battle that took place on 18th August 1965, grow larger by the year. The battle of Long Tan was Australia's single most costly engagement of the Vietnam War, with the loss of 18 Australian soldiers. Two annual services are conducted by the Australian Government: 25th April, ANZAC Day, and 18th August, Vietnam Veterans' Day. To experience these moving ceremonies book early to avoid disappointment.

  • DAY 06

On the return journey to Saigon we travel via Binh Ba before transferring you to your hotel, the airport or continuing your onward journey.

We've hand picked some of Saigon and Vung Tau's best 3 star hotels. If you like a little luxury ask us to upgrade you to 4 or 5 star accommodation.
