Fly Direct To Ha Long Bay
They’ve been going at it for two years but finally there is another, more convenient way to reach this UNESCO World Heritage site. Ha Long Bay’s Van Don airport is the first privately funded airport in Vietnam and is a mere 50-minute drive from one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam making it possible to fly direct to Ha Long Bay.
The service is currently limited to flights to and from Saigon as well as privately charted flights. This make it perfect for visitors to fly home directly from Ha Long Bay if they have a connecting flight in Saigon or visit Ha Long Bay directly from Saigon. “It is the most modern airport in Vietnam. It will have positive influences on the passengers’ experience here in the airport,” said project manager and architect Romy Berntsen.
On top of this fantastic addition to Vietnam tourism, The Halong International Cruise Port has also been unveiled, designed by the hospitality mogul and architect Bill Bensley. This will stand as Vietnams first dedicated port for international cruise ships.
