Essential Entry Requirements for Visiting Thailand in 2025

Thailand continues to streamline its entry requirements, making it easier than ever for travelers to explore this beautiful country. Here are the key entry requirements you need to be aware of before your visit.

1. Thailand Visa Exemptions

Under the Visa Exemption Rule, tourists from 64 countries can enter Thailand without a visa, granted they meet specific conditions. If entering through an international airport or a land border checkpoint from neighboring countries, travelers are allowed a stay of up to 30 - 45 days.

Countries eligible for visa exemptions include New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, China, the Netherlands, and South Africa. For a complete list of eligible countries, click here.

Important Update for Travelers to Thailand! Starting 1 May 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land, or sea must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival.

This new digital system makes immigration processing faster, easier, and more secure—no more paper forms!
