Thailand Entry & Visa Requirements

For the last few months Thailand has been gradually decreasing its entry requirements and making it easier for people to come and visit this beautiful country. There are however, still a few Thailand entry requirements that you need to follow before visiting.

1. Entry Requirements for Thailand

For vaccinated travellers wishing to enter Thailand,  you will need the following:

– A valid passport/ border pass for arrivals via border checkpoints.

– A Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination:

  • Everyone 18 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand.
  • Travellers 5-17 years of age travelling to Thailand unaccompanied must get vaccinated with at least 1 dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travelling to Thailand. Those travelling with parents are exempt from this requirements

Non vaccinated or not fully vaccinated travellers must adhere to the following:

  • Complete a RT-PCR or Professional Antigen (Pro-ATK) test through an approved clinic or medical professional in your country. This test must be done within 72 hours of departure to Thailand.
  • Children under 18 traveling with unvaccinated parents also need to complete a test
  • An ATK (RAT) home test is not acceptable. Children under 18 travelling with unvaccinated parents also need to complete a test.

Thailand Entry & Visa Requirements - What you need

NOTE: Please be aware that as a result of the removal of the Thailand Pass, airlines, and Immigration Officers may conduct random checks of passengers to confirm Covid requirements are met. It is best to have all your Vaccination or Covid Test certificate and documents on hand for potential inspection.

2. Thailand Visa Exemptions

The VISA EXEMPTION RULE allows tourists from 64 countries to enter Thailand without a visa. They are granted a maximum of 30 days if they are entering Thailand via an international airport or entering through a land border checkpoint from neighbouring countries.
