Day 1: Arrive in Hanoi
Our driver will meet you at Arrivals at Noi Bai International Airport – keep an eye out for the sign! The trip from the airport to the city takes around an hour: giving you time to drink in the sights of Hanoi’s architecture, markets, street food…not to mention, the sheer number of motorbikes and all the flowers/household goods/families perched on top of them!

Day 2: Hanoi Jeep Tour
Explore Hanoi’s hidden gems with our Hanoi Jeep Tour – a unique way to discover the city. Start by meeting our guide and driver at your hotel or a designated spot for a safety briefing. Experience the real Hanoi with a journey through its back streets, local neighbourhoods and quieter lakes, revealing how Hanoians live, work, and play. Visit a local market and interact with families there to learn about their daily life and traditions.
Next, we’ll pass by key landmarks including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Tran Quoc Temples, Train Street, the French Quarter, Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem and West Lake, Hanoi Opera House and Long Bien Bridge. Phew!
We’ll end the tour with a true culinary treat: savouring authentic Vietnamese cuisine and a variety of Hanoi’s speciality dishes (including options for vegans and vegetarians).

Day 3: Ha Long Bay & Lan Ha Bay cruise
A shuttle bus will collect you at your hotel for the 2.5-hour journey to Ha Long Bay; please note, this is a shared service, though private transfers are available at an additional cost. Upon reaching the harbour, transfer to your Ha Long Bay cruise boat – where you’ll be welcomed aboard with a drink and a safety briefing.
Then all you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning views of limestone karsts: one of Vietnam’s most popular attractions and with good reason! Lunch will be served on your boat, and later, you’ll get the chance to swim in the bay’s emerald waters and explore its mysterious caves by kayak (weather-permitting). After returning to your boat, enjoy a tea ceremony and unwind during “Happy Hour” with the drink of your choice.
That evening, after a delicious dinner, you’ve got free time to indulge yourself in a few cocktails, or to try your hand at squid fishing under the stars before retiring to your cabin for the night.

Day 4: Lan Ha Bay Cruise & Hue transfer
Begin your day in a mindful way: with sunrise Tai Chi over the picturesque bay. Indulge in a light breakfast onboard as you prepare for your next adventure. Navigate the Tra Bau area by kayak, through the rugged islands and perhaps stumbling upon a hidden temple along the way before cooling off with a swim. Return to your boat for check-out and enjoy a lavish brunch before setting sail again for the harbour. You’ll then be transferred straight to Hanoi’s Noi Bai airport for your domestic flight to Hue City.

Day 5: Hue tour by motorbike

Explore narrow laneways, glide beside serene canals…and, once you’re back on your feet, wander through local markets, discovering Hue's rich history along the way. Visit a king’s tomb, a pagoda and local handicraft workshops before immersing yourselves in Vietnam’s captivating history at Hue Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. After all of that exploration, you’ll have surely worked up an appetite…fortunately, lunch awaits! Enjoy a delicious traditional Buddhist banquet served at a serene pagoda.

Day 6: Hue to Hoi An via Hai Van Pass & Marble Mountain
Departing from Hue, our driver will take you on a scenic, 160km journey to Hoi An. Cross coastal rice paddies and visit the charming fishing village of Lang Co. Experience the breathtaking Hai Van Pass, climbing to 496m (1,627ft) on a road famously described in Top Gear as "a deserted ribbon of perfection – one of the best coastal roads in the world." Along the way, explore Marble Mountain before reaching the oh-so-special town of Hoi An.
Hoi an is a charming UNESCO World Heritage town that’s known for its ancient, lantern-lit town, vibrant green rice fields and beautiful beaches. Whether your interests lie in shopping, food, photography, architecture, golf, swimming, scuba diving or simply pampering yourself with a massage, Hoi An has plenty to offer. It’s also renowned for its tailor shops: offering a huge selection of fabrics, you can get your dream wardrobe made up in a few days.

Day 7: Hoi An cooking class
You'll travel together with your group by minivan (a 10-minute ride) to Tra Que Organic Village, where you'll stroll through lush market gardens tended by local farmers using traditional, centuries-old methods – no modern machinery in sight. Next up, visit a local village market, shopping list in hand, to gather a variety of ingredients to assist with your culinary creations. For the rest of the afternoon, you’ll be guided by the chef: learning the art of preparing and cooking authentic Vietnamese dishes from scratch. Using the freshest ingredients – and traditional Vietnamese utensils that are still in use today – you'll prepare four iconic dishes, including Vietnam's national dish, 'Pho'. After the class, sit down to enjoy the feast you’ve worked so hard to prepare…you deserve it! Will a full and satisfied belly, you can enjoy a leisurely boat ride back to central Hoi An.

Day 9: Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City & Cu Chi Tunnels tour
This morning you’ll be picked up from your hotel and transferred to catch your 1.5-hour flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at HCMC airport, your new guide will be waiting to greet you, holding a sign with your name.
Journey west from Ho Chi Minh City to the Cu Chi Tunnels, delving into Vietnam’s troubled history. Explore the famed tunnels, including camouflaged trap doors and ingenious booby traps used by the Viet Cong guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War.
Your tour begins with a short documentary film, for a deeper understanding of their historical significance. Next, you’ll have the option to crawl through sections of the tunnels for an idea of the underground life of the soldiers. Explore underground facilities such as kitchens, living quarters, and meeting rooms, and learn about the construction of various traps and weaponry used by the Viet Cong.
Wrap up your tour with a visit to the weapons room and an opportunity to try shooting an AK-47 at the range (bullets not included in package price). Afterwards, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. For a further understanding of the Vietnam War, you could also visit the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City that afternoon: not an easy experience but a worthwhile one, particularly if you’re interested in getting to know the country’s history and culture even more.

Day 10: Mekong Delta day tour
In the morning, you’ll be collected to travel southwards to Ben Tre: a vibrant town in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Arriving at Ham Luong Pier, you'll board a boat on the Bến Tre River, a tributary of the Mekong River, to witness the industrious local life along the delta. Explore a brickwork factory where bricks are handmade and baked. Visit coconut processing workshops nestled along the canals and delve into a narrow canal to reach a local village. Take a leisurely walk to a family workshop, where you’ll learn about mat-making, and enjoy fresh fruit and tea.
Continue your adventure with a bike tour (or a ride on a xe loi) along shaded paths, passing rice fields and vegetable gardens in this serene landscape. Indulge in a lunch of local specialties at a family-run restaurant. In the afternoon, glide through a water coconut forest on a rowing boat, back to the main boat at Hung Vuong Pier. Finally, it’s time to return to the hustle and bustle of Saigon, filled with memories of the serene Mekong Delta and its captivating local culture.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City To Siem Reap & Phare Circus (no animals)
Upon arriving at Siem Reap International, your new driver and local guide will greet you with a Wide Eyed Tours & Travel sign bearing your name before bringing you to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, your local guide will discuss options for exploring the Angkor complex in the coming days.
Siem Reap is a vibrant town: offering plenty of dining options, along with boutique shops and bustling day and night markets. It’s an ideal destination for shopping enthusiasts and night owls, especially around the lively Pub Street.
Tonight, for a unique experience, your driver will transport you to the Phare Cambodian Circus in Siem Reap. Enjoy the acrobatic performance of theatre, dance, high-energy music and circus acts that tell captivating Cambodian stories. Witness the astonishing energy, emotion, enthusiasm and talent of these circus artists – note that the performance does not involve animals.

Day 12: Beng Mealea & Tonle Sap tour
Depart for mysterious ruins of Beng Mealea, thought to be a blueprint for Angkor Wat. Not only the ‘most interactive’ temple, with crumbling stone blocks acting as stairs to the temple’s many chambers, it’s also the most fun temple to explore! The thousand-year-old site covers several acres of jungle terrain, and it’s made up of a handful of libraries and courtyards for you to reinact those Indiana Jones moments.
In the afternoon, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at your own cost) before heading east of Siem Reap towards the village of Kompong Phluk. On the northern edge of Tonle Sap Lake, this charming village features stilted houses rising up from the ground. Travel by traditional boat through the village and observe daily life up close before heading out to the vast blue expanse of Tonle Sap Lake.

Day 13: Angkor Wat temples tour
